About CozySmallSpace
Practical, renter-friendly picks for making small spaces feel like home.
Who we are
CozySmallSpace is a small, independent site focused on one specific problem: furnishing and decorating small apartments, studios, and rentals without wasting money on things that don't fit, don't hold up, or aren't actually allowed in a rental. We started the site after running into the same issue over and over — most decor advice online assumes you own your walls, have a big budget, or don't mind buying something twice after the cheap version breaks.
How we choose what to recommend
We don't test every product physically — what we do instead is research each pick carefully before it goes on the site:
- We compare products within a category on the things that actually matter for small spaces: real dimensions, weight capacity, whether it's genuinely no-drill or just marketed that way, and how it holds up based on buyer reviews.
- We read through publicly available customer reviews and ratings, looking specifically for patterns — recurring complaints about durability, sizing, or assembly are treated as more reliable than a single five-star review.
- We favor products with a solid volume of reviews and recognizable trust signals (like an Amazon's Choice badge) over lesser-known items with little feedback, unless a lesser-known item is clearly a better fit for renters.
- We organize each guide by budget tier (budget, mid-range, premium) so you can compare honestly instead of only seeing the option that pays the highest commission.
How we make money
CozySmallSpace is a participant in the Amazon Associates program. When you click one of our product links and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. This is the only way the site makes money; we don't accept payment from brands to feature their products, and commission never determines which product we call the "best pick" in a guide. Full details are on our affiliate disclosure page.
Our promise
Every guide is written to help you make a decision quickly, not to talk you into the most expensive option. If a budget pick is genuinely the smartest choice for most people, we'll say so. If you have feedback on a guide, or a small-space product category you'd like us to cover, we'd love to hear about it.
